Car Chase in Los Angeles!
Just turned the TV on and there’s a white Bentley involved in a sloooow car chase. Apparently this guy’s been taking LAPD on a tour of L.A. NBC News says it’s a suspect accused of domestic domestic violence with a deadly weapon against his girlfriend. The newscasters keep wondering who it could be in such an expensive car a day after the Grammys. They need to just come out and say it… they think it’s Chris Brown!!! That asshole beat up Rihanna Sunday morning and now he can’t deal! The chase came to a stop in Universal City in front of a car dealership about 15 mins ago. Some girl with a huge purse came up to the car, yelled at the driver, tried to get in but found the door locked and then walked away. The driver then popped the truck (presumably to keep the cops with guns pointed at the back of his head from seeing him) and is now just sitting there. We haven’t had a good car chase in a WHILE so I’m gonna stick with it to see what happens!UPDATE 11:45PM: Nothing’s changed yet, but I have to mention one of my favorite parts of any L.A. car chase; the newscasters guessing what’s going on! I had to change to KTLA cause NBC had to go to The Tonight Show but KTLA was like FUCK our repeat of Friends!! Anyway, one newscaster said the girl who approached the car “could be the girlfriend”, “could be a friend of the girlfriend”, “could be the girlfriend’s mom trying to get her car back”. JAY/KAY JAY/KAY that last one was my guess :)
UPDATE 12:03AM: Still nothing new, but I found an article on CBS 2 News’ website complete with a montage of car chase videos!! “We’re gonna need a montage. (Montage) A car-chasing montage! (Montage)”
UPDATE 12:07AM: Awwwwww it’s some guy named DJ Khaled! WTF is my thought exactly! They showed him at street level and he’s wearing his sunglasses at night. So cool. OMG I’m getting a screen shot of his Wiki page because someone just edited it and this shit is hilarz!
UPDATE 1:16AM: Apparently the driver has committed suicide and I feel like an asshole for trying to be funny in my posts. Welcome to live blogging.
UPDATE 1:59AM: I may have updated too soon on that last one. LAist is still updating even though the stand-off is done and they claim there is no confirmation the suspect is dead (or DJ Khaled). They have more resources to find out what’s going on so I’m going to leave the updates up to them. A guy’s gotta sleep.
